January

Sierra Vista Symphony OrchestraThe 60-member Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra performs at the Klein Center in January, April, and October, bringing big sound to this smaller venue for a delightful musical experience under the direction of Conductor Toru Tagawa.


February

Cowboy on horse roping silohuette.The Cochise Cowboy Poetry and Music Gathering is an entertainment bonanza that celebrates the American West. Held every February, the event rounds up performers from around the globe to perform poetry, music, and more.


April

April through October

Ruby-throated HummingbirdHummingbird banding sessions are a favorite experience for locals and visitors alike. Observe researchers from the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory (SABO) as they capture, examine, weigh, and band these acrobatic fliers before releasing them. The data adds to a body of research to help scientists understand this unique bird species.

Wine Beer and Spirits FestivalSierra Vista's Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival, held in conjunction with the Sky Islands Summit Challenge, are held Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy the vintages and brews from Arizona's top makers, along with live music and art vendors, in Sierra Vista's expansive Veterans Memorial Park. The Sky Islands Summit Challenge, where outdoor enthusiasts take on one, two, or three routes into the Huachuca Mountains takes hikers (and trail runners) to soaring peaks and endless views.

BluebirdThe Spring Fling, hosted by the Southwest Wings organization, offers tours of the area's best spring habitat.


August

San Pedro River BirdersAnother great event from Southwest Wings comes in August. The multi-day Southwest Wings Birding & Nature Festival brings speakers, tours, educational events, and more to Sierra Vista. The oldest birding festival in Arizona, and one of the top birding events in the West.

The Sierra Vista OpenThe Sierra Vista Open is a premier golf event held at Pueblo del Sol Country Club. The event draws professionals, club pros, and amateurs from across the West.


September

OktoberfestFall brings cooler days to Sierra Vista, and what better way to celebrate than with a traditional Oktoberfest! Come and enjoy oompah-pah music, food, and beer. Stay late for a rock and roll band to dance under the stars. Held in late September in Veterans Memorial Park.


October

Art in the ParkArt in the Park draws some of the West's finest artists and craftspeople to Sierra Vista. Held the first weekend in October, this event creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for early holiday shopping.


October

Cars in the park.Hosted by the Sierra Vista Car Club, Cars in the Park draws hundreds of automobile owners--and their classic and antique vehicles--to Veterans Memorial Park.
