The City of Sierra Vista welcomes citizen involvement and serving on a commission is a great way to serve. All commissions consist of five members and commission members are appointed by City Council to serve two-year terms with a limit of three consecutive terms.

The regulatory commission members must reside within the postal defined boundaries of Sierra Vista. The non-regulatory commission members are not required to live within the defined postal boundaries, but must live in the greater Sierra Vista metropolitan area.

If you would like to serve on a regulatory or non-regulatory commission, complete this Board, and Commission Application. If no vacancies are available, you may still be able to participate as a non-voting associate member. Check current vacancies. Additional information regarding commission member eligibility and current membership is forthcoming pending Council action in May 2023.
