Veterans Memorial Park
For outside concerts, festivals and celebrations, Veterans Memorial Park is a favorite location, providing 40 acres of park space, a 5,250 square foot covered concert pavilion, a volleyball court, skate and bike park, playgrounds and softball field. A freezer with bagged ice is available for purchase is available at the park (please coordinate ice needs in advance). Dependent upon the calendar, the Park can be reserved for special events. Its adjacent facility, the indoor swimming pool at the Cove can also be rented for private parties. For information about reserving Veterans Memorial Park, call (800) 288-3861.
Cochise College
Enjoy the beautiful setting at the Sierra Vista Cochise College Campus and find convenient parking, internet connectivity, on-site catering and security, as well as staff available to assist with your needs. Cochise College provides classroom facilities and limited multimedia, conference, event, and performance space to the general public as college scheduling and space permits. Avidand’s Food Service Management is available to provide full-service catering.
Sierra Vista Hotels & Lodges
Several Sierra Vista area hotels offer meeting space for groups as small as 16 or as large as 350. For a closer-to-nature experience, three nearby B&Bs offer meeting facilities for a cozy 8 people or a larger group of up to 25 — perfect for a board retreat or intimate gathering. Sierra Vista’s fraternal organizations offer meeting and banquet spaces for rent, including the Elks Lodge and Knights of Columbus.
Sierra Vista Restaurants
Several Sierra Vista area restaurants can accommodate groups for meetings or large gatherings. Reserve the entire restaurant or a small meeting space, depending on your needs. Meeting space capacity varies from 8 people to more than 200. See restaurants that offer meeting venues and catering.
Pueblo Del Sol Golf Course
The beautiful Pueblo del Sol club house offers a banquet room, dining facility, and meeting space. The venue features a distinct Southwestern flair and overlooks the lush Pueblo del Sol golf course. PDS can accommodate up to 125 guests and offers catering for your event. Contact PDS for more information.
Thunder Mountain Activity Center
Located on Fort Huachuca, the Thunder Mountain Activity Center offers six event spaces that can accommodate groups from 40 to 500, depending on seating arrangement. The facility also offers an approved day care area, which can be used during functions to keep little ones entertained (personnel is not provided). Catering, A/V equipment, a dance floor, and a stage round out this popular venue.
The Mall at Sierra Vista
The open area at The Mall at Sierra Vista is the perfect venue for a trade event. Adjacent to several hotels and restaurants, The Mall offers ample parking, security, and on-site support during your event.
Klein Performing Arts Center
Built along with Sierra Vista’s Buena High School, the Klein Performing Arts Center was designed for public concerts and performances with quality lighting and sound equipment. The main theater can seat up to 1,319, while the Little Theater accommodates 206, and the Lecture Pod seats 213. The main stage has 4,000 square feet of performance and wing space, and can accommodate an orchestra pit. The Little Theater features a small stage with self-contained computer lighting and sound. Ample parking and restroom facilities.
Race Routes
With temperate weather all year long, Sierra Vista is the perfect destination for outdoor competitive sports any time of the year. Race-ready routes, from 5K to marathons, are mapped and ready to run. For road bicycling, check out the Bicycle & Multi-use Path Map; for mountain biking, see the Bicycle Mountain Trail Map. (Note: mountain trails are primarily on USFS land and will require an event permit, which can be obtained through the Sierra Vista Ranger District.) The municipal aquatic center, The Cove, was designed with competitions in mind and features eight 25-yard lap lanes and ample locker room space.
The Cove
The Cove, Sierra Vista’s aquatic center, features a zero-depth beach style entry at one end, two enclosed tube slides, a warmer water pool with jets, sunning decks, shallow water kids’ lagoon with a water slide, snack bar, seasonal diving pool, and eight 25-yard lap lanes for competitions or exercise. This 36,500-square-foot facility includes locker rooms for men, women, and families. and can accommodate up to 600 people, depending on the event and availability of staffing.
Sports Fields
Sierra Vista offers tournament-ready, lighted ball fields, as well as ample tennis and pickleball courts that could accommodate a small tournament. The City also manages an 18-hole disc golf course. Call the City of Sierra Vista Leisure department at (520) 515-4999 for more information.
The Patterson Observatory
The Huachuca Astronomy Club volunteers operate and host events at the Patterson Observatory, located on the University of Arizona Sierra Vista campus. This NASA Space Place has a 16-foot dome, housing a Ritchey-Chretien telescope of 20-inch aperture. The facility also boasts a collection of space-related memorabilia including movie posters, historic telescopes, and more, as well as a meeting space with tables, chairs, and A/V equipment. City Buildings
Small meetings, lectures, and events can be accommodated in the City’s community buildings, including:
Ethel H. Berger Center – The facility includes several activity rooms, a dance studio, stage, and outdoor areas. A venue for regular City programs, the EBC may be booked during regular business hours, but is normally available on the weekend. The building is located on a City bus route. Oscar Yrun Community Center – The OYCC includes activity rooms, small meeting rooms, and an auditorium. Like the EBC, the OYCC is often occupied during regular business hours, but may be able to accommodate your needs. The conference room can seat up to 15 and the meeting rooms can accommodate up to 35 people in each. The OYCC includes an open area (“The Lobby”) which can accommodate up to 65, and an auditorium, which can accommodate up to 50. The Sierra Vista Public Library – The Library features a two conference rooms, and the larger is equipped with a digital screen. The small conference room can seat up to 14 and the large room can accommodate up to 225 standing/mingling, 175 seated theater style, or 75 people meeting style with tables and chairs. Outside space includes a patio and adjacent small stage area (with electric) and a lawn to accommodate intimate gatherings.
