The Art Studio at the Oscar Yrun Community Center is open Tuesday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from noon - 7:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 am - 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The studio, formerly known as the Pottery Studio, has also expanded its focus to include other artistic mediums (just bring your own supplies).

Fee Schedule

Passes and Clay

Passes can be purchased at the Art Studio or the Oscar Yrun Community Center (OYCC).  10 visits can be purchased for $40 and can be used to bring guests.  A monthly unlimited pass is available for $55 and can be used as many times as possible in one month from date of purchase by one participant.

Clay can be purchased in a 25-pound bag for $23 (increasing to $28 on March 23), with a choice between three colors. Dover White, B-mix, and speckled buff clay is also available in a 5-pound bag for $5 (increasing to $8 on March 23) and is the best choice for those just getting started. Or you can Play with Clay for $12 per person, which includes 1 pound of clay and two visits to the studio!

Glaze-a-Piece

You can Glaze-a-Piece of ready-to-paint ceramic (your choice!) for $10.

Glaze-a-Piece Parties
We offer this party package for ages 6 and up, including adults! The package includes a 2 hour room rental for $60 and clay pieces to glaze at $8 each (a 20% discount). Additional hours are $20 each.

An Art Studio instructor will set up your room, along with any paint and supplies you may need. Participants will get to pick out an item of their choice to glaze. Bring a cake and decorations to make this special event really shine for your friend or loved one.

Featured Projects

The Art Studio offers a different featured project each month for a $12 fee. That covers 1 pound of clay, 2 visits to the studio, and instructions for how to complete the piece. Give us a call or stop by to learn about the current featured project!

Equipment Rentals

Lockers
Lockers are available for rental at a fee of $10 per month. 

Artista Tabletop Wheel
Rent the Artista Tabletop Wheel and practice throwing in your own home! Wheel rental includes the wheel, a tarp to keep your floor clean, a set of basic wheel throwing tools, and nine bats to work on during your rental. Rent the kit on Monday and return it on Friday for $50, or take it home for the weekend (Friday-Monday) for $30.

Kiln Rental Space
Bring your made-at-home pieces to be fired in our community kiln. All pieces, clay, and glaze must be approved by Art Studio staff prior to firing.
