PLEASE NOTE: When customers are billed for trash services, they pay for their trash can to be emptied twice a week and only once a day on their scheduled trash pickup day. If a customer misses a trash pickup day and does not place their can out to be emptied on their scheduled days, they will need to wait until their next scheduled trash pickup day to have their can emptied. If the customer chooses to not use their twice a week trash pickup, the customer's rates will not change. For any questions regarding trash pickup, customers can call the Public Works Department at (520) 458-5775.

Trash Pickup Do's and Don'ts
To avoid interruption of your trash pickup, please be sure to follow these tips!
Do
- Have your bin out by 7 a.m. with the handle towards your home
- Bag your trash and close the bag tight to prevent trash from flying out and getting on the ground
- Make sure the bin is not overfull and the lid is closed (It is up to the driver's discretion whether to empty bins that are overfull. If the driver empties the bin and trash falls on the ground, it is the customer's responsibility to pick it up.)
- Place the bin at least 6 feet away from other objects including vehicles, mailboxes, fences, and basketball hoops
Don't
- Force large items into the bin or compact your trash
- Place extra trash on top of or next to the bin
- Toss ashes in the trash bin, as embers may cause a fire
- Dispose of hazardous materials like oil, fuel, paint, chemicals, hypodermic needles, prescription medication, light bulbs, and other materials. Instead, take them to an approved disposal site.
