Donations Needed
The library is seeking donations of adult bicycles in good condition for its Borrow-a-Bike Program, which enables patrons to check out a bicycle for up to three days at a time, with one renewal.
The library can use mountain bikes, street, bikes, cruisers, and even adult tricycles! Since being launched in 2016, the library’s Borrow-a-Bike Program has become popular and all available adult bicycles are often checked out. Some patrons regularly use the bicycles for running errands, getting to appointments, and visiting family members around town.
Donated bicycles can be dropped off at the Sierra Vista Public Library during typical operating hours in care of Librarian Susan Abend. Donations are receipt eligible. For more information, call (520) 458-4225 or email Susan.Abend@SierraVistaAZ.gov.
