All Sierra Vista Fire & Medical Services firefighters are also certified EMTs, more than half are paramedics. Minimum Qualifications

To work with us, you don’t necessarily need to have the most experience or the best training already under your belt. We hire great people who have good, solid values. Then we provide them with outstanding training and support. This combination results in some of the best firefighters and EMS professionals anywhere.

Minimum Requirements for Firefighter:

• U.S. Citizen, 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Arizona driver’s license without restrictions
• No felony convictions
• Healthcare Provider Level CPR
• Arizona EMT certification
• Arizona Firefighter 1 & 2 certification or IFSAC/PROBOARD Equivalent
• Current valid CPAT verification letter

Minimum Requirements for EMT Transport Crewmember:

• U.S. Citizen, 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Arizona driver’s license without restrictions
• No felony convictions
• Healthcare Provider Level CPR
• Arizona EMT certification

Minimum Requirements for Paramedic Transport:

• U.S. Citizen, 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Arizona driver’s license without restrictions
• No felony convictions
• Healthcare Provider Level CPR
• Arizona Paramedic certification
• AHA ACLS Certification
