Secure Lockbox Program_LockboxSecure Lockbox Program

Sierra Vista Fire & Medical Services has partnered with West and SouthEast REALTORS of the Valley (WeSERV) to offer Sierra Vista residents a Secure Lockbox Program. Please note that this program is only available to residents living in the Sierra Vista City limits. This program is designed to allow emergency services personnel to access a home in emergency situations where forced entry may be necessary. It is primarily intended for residents who live alone and have heightened chance of needing emergency care due to age or a medical condition. To learn more or apply, download the application.

 

Bike Helmet Program

Bicycle helmet bike boy Getty-691523728The Bicycle Helmet Program is a grant-funded safety initiative to get bicycle helmets to children of all ages. This program teaches children and adults the importance of bicycle safety and the risks of falls while riding bicycles. Bicycle helmets are free of charge to all children in need of a helmet at all Sierra Vista Fire & Medical Services stations and at some public education events throughout the year. This program is also available to organizations that provide bicycle safety classes, and bicycle rodeos.

Community CPR Class

CPR ClassWould you know what to do if a loved one or neighbor had a sudden heart attack? Learn CPR, taught by qualified emergency medical professionals at Fire Station 3. Classes are offered on the third Saturday of each month (except December) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost is $75 per person.

Earn the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/First Aid/AED certification during this class. Please note that this is not a healthcare provider CPR course.

To register and make your payment by phone, call Station 3 at (520) 417-4400 or stop by the station, 675 Giulio Cesare Avenue, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Crisis Referral Program

The Crisis Referral Program helps those whose needs extend far beyond medical and fire emergencies. The purpose of this program is to provide the highest level of customer service, to the best of our ability by referring individuals to agencies better equipped to assist them.

  • HUD, housing assistance, and shelters
  • Protective agencies
  • Food banks
  • Workforce development

Blood Drive Donate Donation Give HeartGrief Packets: Developed to help guide those in need through the difficult process of losing a loved one.

After the Fire brochures: Helping guide people though helpful steps to follow after experiencing a house fire.

Cold Weather Blankets, provided through Operation Deep Freeze. Red Cross packets, for families who experience natural disasters. These packets provide financial aid for food, lodging and clothing.

Voucher book, providing emergency lodging and food for those in crisis. Youth Firesetting Prevention & Intervention

Boy with LighterThe Youth Firesetting Prevention and Intervention Program is geared for kids aged 5 to 17 who have played with fire or fireworks either inappropriately and/or without adult supervision. Our meetings are one-on-one and focus on fire prevention, fire safety, and the community, personal, and legal consequences of playing with fire. Anyone can refer a child to this program including mental health agencies, parents, law enforcement, courts, or even firefighters.

Youth Firesetting is a very serious safety hazard that needs to be addressed. If you know a child who has played with fire, or if you have questions, please call Station 3 at (520) 417-4400.
