The City of Sierra Vista is partnering with local businesses and organizations during its Hummingbird Month in August to host events, promotional specials, or donation jars that benefit the Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory (SABO). This is great opportunity to support and celebrate hummingbirds while also highlighting your business/organization!

How it Works:

• Businesses/Organizations Come up with a hummingbird-themed event or promotional special and donate a percentage of the proceeds, host a Hummingbird Hero donation jar, or do both! We’ll provide you with the information to donate to SABO directly.

• The City Will provide the following for participating businesses/organizations:

  • A Proud Hummingbird Hero decal for your window

  • A roll of Proud Hummingbird Hero stickers to handout

  • Promotion for your event/special/participation on the upcoming Hummingbird Month webpage, the City’s event calendar, and social media.

About SABO:

SABO is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the birds of southeastern Arizona, their habitats and the diversity of species that share those habitats through research, monitoring, and public education. SABO has been conducting hummingbird banding and research for 25 years on the San Pedro River. Donations will go to support that research.
