In October 2019, Cochise County received a $600,000 Brownfield Assessment Grant from the EPA to revitalize vacant and underused properties in the County. Community members and property owners can nominate properties with redevelopment potential through the grant, saving thousands of dollars in creating site condition surveys, and cleanup and reuse plans. The grant is managed by Cochise County with assistance from an environmental consulting team led by Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.

The program will end in September 2022 or when funding is exhausted.
