The Sierra Vista Public Library provides free access to information, programs, and services for all community members. At the library, you’ll find a vast collection of materials for youth and adults, including movies, video games, eBooks, eMagazines, and even bicycles!

Funds raised at the Little Library Bookstore and proceeds from the sale of books at the Friends Bookstore benefit the Sierra Vista Public Library.

Music of the West African Kora

The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots. Many songs featured on the kora preserve an 800 year history dating back to the founding of the Mande empire. Join Sean Gaskell for a demonstration of this amazing instrument and learn about his time in Gambia and Senegal where he learned to play. This program is for all ages.
