The Sierra Vista Public Library provides free access to information, programs, and services for all community members. At the library, you’ll find a vast collection of materials for youth and adults, including movies, video games, eBooks, eMagazines, and even bicycles!

Funds raised at the Little Library Bookstore and proceeds from the sale of books at the Friends Bookstore benefit the Sierra Vista Public Library.

Archaeology, Geology and a Four Week Camel Caravan - the Sahara Desert

Join Anthropologist John Barthalme, Ph.D. as he tells of how he singed onto a working camel caravan transporting salt from Taoudenni, Africa, to Timbuktu. Along the way, he conducted geological and archeological research. And learned how to live in the deep desert with the Touareg and Arab caravaners and gracefully discovered his mortality.
