Chiricahua National Monument

Brown Bag Lecture Series Spring 2023

Chiricahua Park Ranger will bring you the majestic beauty and 27-million-year history of the park, including its origins from a super volcano becoming the Turkey Creek Caldera with volcanic ash and welded tuft. It is Wonderland of Rocks! Five Biomes come together within the park, and the slideshows will walk you through the natural and ecological connections between trees, plants, and animals that have become uniquely adapted to the Sky Island borders of this mile-high National Park. You can Ask a Ranger questions about how we live in the park, the jobs the park needs, and what Jr. Rangers and Park Protectors are. Becoming the most recent Dark Sky Parks, we will end the talk with the latest night sky photos from the top of the world of the Chiricahuas.
